Looking Back on April#

Similar to the latter half of March, a month where I consciously stayed home due to self-restraint.
I didn’t go anywhere special! I’ll list what left a deep impression recently.
Started University of the People#
From April, I’m trying out taking only the CS basic course. I do it all at once on weekends or before starting work. The CS class feels like really the basics of Python. Since I had never touched Python, it feels really just right for me. The image is doing both English and the very basics of CS nicely and loosely.
There are discussions in bulletin board format and a mechanism where students grade each other’s code homework submissions, so it’s not at all just solving assignments. I think it’s good because the amount of English writing inevitably increases, and motivation is maintained? I think it’s a good system. It might become quite tough if the level goes up.
- People who regularly read English (even through translation)
- People who think they should do Writing too
- People who can secure a certain amount of time regularly, like on weekends
If there are such people, it might be an option as a method of special training. (Since you pay a little money, awareness to pay properly also sprouts.) I haven’t researched the system properly and only understand that I can get a degree if I want to, but information seems to be summarized below. (I would be happy if anyone doing it or interested contacts me)
Bought Decaf Coffee Beans#

Decaf coffee☕ beans I bought on Amazon. It was Amazon’s Choice. Because the ☕ shop I used to buy from closed business. It’s more sour than the one I used to drink.
Started Growing Green Onions#

I’m just putting the roots of the green onions I ate in water and placing them by a sunny window, but they grow quite a bit. (The container is the bottom part of a plastic bottle cut off)
↓ Impression of growth in a few days ~ 1 week (might be exaggerating…)
I chop the fully grown ones and put them in miso soup and enjoy them deliciously. I want to grow rapidly like a green onion too.
That’s all. Good work in April too!
